DC SHRM invites you to its annual conference on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the National Association of Homebuilders in Washington, D.C. "Building the Future of HR Today" includes topics such as taking professional development to the next level by enhancing your technical expertise, best practices to develop productive and happy employees, and innovative ways to develop organizational success. Sponsorship Levels:

Executive Sponsor $2,000 - The Executive Sponsorship offers your company the greatest amount of exposure and marketing opportunity for our Annual Conference. Your company will receive the following:

  • 3 minutes to address conference attendees and up to 3 presentation slides
  • Attendance at the event for three (3) company representatives
  • Prominent display table and opportunity to network and distribute marketing materials
  • Opportunity to have marketing folder distributed at registration
  • List of event registrants
  • Company logo and hyperlink in our pre-event promotional materials
  • Company logo displayed on rolling projector in ballroom

Partner Sponsor $1,500 - The Partner Sponsorship offers your company an excellent opportunity to network with and market to 150+ conference attendees. Your company will receive the following:

Associate Sponsor $1,000 - The Associate Sponsorship offers your company an excellent opportunity to network with and market to 150+ conference attendees. Your company will receive the following:

Breakout Session Sponsor $500 - The Breakout Session Sponsorship offers your company an excellent opportunity to network with and market to conference attendees. Your company will receive the following:

  • Exclusive sponsorship of one (1) breakout session with the opportunity to introduce speaker and pitch your company for up to three (3) minutes, as well as distribute marketing materials to the session attendees

Panel from EEOC Washington Field Office—Mindy Weinstein, Acting Director; Alan W. Anderson, Deputy Director; Monica Colunga, Enforcement Supervisor

This session will provide insights into the EEOC’s investigative process, from intake through resolution of a charge.  The speakers will help employers understand how investigators evaluate a charge of discrimination, including the factors that indicate whether discrimination or harassment occurred.  And they will provide information on steps employers can take to prevent discrimination and respond to a charge filed with the EEOC.

The fastest way to become a better public speaker — whether standing in a front of a crowd, in a staff meeting  or in a conversation with one person — is to get rid of filler words (ah, um, like, you know, so....), to purge other weak phrases, and to harness stronger body language. Body language is up to 70% of communication. Your group will participate in a series of entertaining games designed to strengthen wording, purge the words and phrases that clutter conversations and gain a better understanding of body language.
